How to Accurately Identify the Parts You Need
Avoid purchasing based solely on model numbers—this often leads to incorrect orders. Follow these steps to ensure compatibility:
1. Verify by Part Number (Most Reliable Method)
- The part number is the unique identifier for your component.
- Double-check that the number matches the original part (engravings, labels, or manuals).
- Example:
✅ Correct: "Need part 12345-ABC for a hydraulic valve."
❌ Avoid: "Need a valve for a CAT 320D."
2. No Part Number? Provide Detailed Information
- For complex parts like turbochargers, water pumps, or sensors, send:
- Equipment model (e.g., Komatsu PC200-5)
- Engine/Serial number (e.g., Engine S6D95, Serial 45001)
- Clear photos of the old part (multiple angles, labels, damage)
- Critical dimensions (if applicable)
-
Example Request:
"Looking for a turbocharger for a Komatsu PC200-5 (Engine S6D95, Serial 45001). Attached are photos of the old unit."
3. Special Part Considerations
- Engine Rebuild Kits:
Many engines use different piston types. Provide:
- Engine serial number (not just model)
- Photos of old pistons (top/bottom/side views)
- Hydraulic/Motor Assemblies:
Share the nameplate data from the component (e.g., travel motor, swing pump).
4. Quick Search by Equipment Type
- By Brand: Browse parts for Komatsu, CAT, John Deere, etc.
- By Machine: Find components for excavators, tractors, loaders.
