I ordered this for a '80's model John Deere 650. The old switch ( not sure if it was original) was getting difficult to turn and wanted to spin in the dash so I decided to replace it. this switch is of the same dimensions as the one I replaced and fit nicely into the dash panel. The only problem I encountered is that the terminal screws on the new one are larger than the old one. This was easy to get around as I just snipped the ring terminals at the end and they opened up enough to fit around the larger screws on the new switch, actually giving a possibly tighter connection.You can spend a whole lot more on an OEM switch but this one works fine and I could buy several of these for the price of an OEM one, but I don't think I'll have to.
